Commercial Awning for a village pub in Bradford
The village pub was undergoing a major transformation to update its exterior while retaining its rustic appeal. As part of the refurbishment, the pub owners were looking for a shading outdoor cover that could be enjoyed all year around. He chose Commerical Awning and chose two Samson 5500 Retractable Awnings.
To meet our customer's specifications, commercial awnings installed two Samson 5500 Retractable Awnings. This model, known for its robust quality and elegant style, is perfect for the pubs outside space. Each awning was designed bespoke to the pub’s branding, with a size of 2800mm width x 2100 mm projection. This provided ample coverage for the seating area without overpowering the exterior of the building.
For ease of use, both awnings were fitted with a Somfy remote-controlled electric operation system, Allowing staff to extend or retract the awnings with the push of a button without interrupting service. To add an extra layer of protection in strong winds, a Vibrabox Wind Sensor was included ensuring the awning retracts back into its cassette in strong winds, avoiding damage and strain on the arms.
We were reviewing the draft design together to make sure it returned with the best result. We both agreed to choose the RAL 9005 Black Framework and fabric, with printed signage on each. This timeless colour and design seamlessly matched the pub’s exterior, enhancing the overall aesthetic. A 20cm valance was also added, providing a finishing touch that reinforced the pub’s branding and gave the installation a polished look. The custom-printed signage not only enhanced the pub’s visual appeal of the pub but also acted as an additional branding tool, attract customer attention to the newly refurbished outdoor space. The combination of high quality materials, design and functionality ensured the pub’s new outdoor area could be enjoyed for years to come.
