Shenley School Umbrellas
This Hertfordshire school has used highly stable Vortex umbrellas to transform their previously unused courtyard. Previously empty part of the year due to the exposed nature of the courtyard and its seating, this area has had its life extended dramatically.
The use of four umbrellas has ensured this area can stay under cover all year around, providing shade in the burning summer sun, but also shelter during the wetter months. This area can now not only be used during free time such as lunch and breaks, but can also be used as an outdoor learning space, proven to greatly benefit children's learning.
Strong and stable, these umbrellas can withstand incredibly fast winds and are generally not needed to be taken down unless there is a freak storm.
