Three Swans Hotel, Market Harborough
The Three Swans in a local landmark hotel in Market Harborough, a small town in a picturesque part of South Leicestershire.
It was recently taken over by new owners and had been lavished with some much needed TLC.
We needed to provide sun and light rain shelter in a large enclosed courtyard area which doubled as a public walkway. To compliment the attractive and detailed block paving, the customer chose a 10 metre long Butterfly awning with 3.5m wings to each side covering a massive 70m².
We installed a coupled Markilux Syncra Fix framework system combined with two Markilux 5010 full cassette electric awnings and Hotspots (lighting and heating bars). The system covers over 50 square metres of space and is fully retractable when not in use. The addition of the Markilux Hotspots offer lighting and infra red halogen heating for the cooler evenings.
The Syncra system is proving to be one of our most popular terrace cover products of late. It is attractive when closed and also when open with the pitch of the chosen awning fully adjustable acoording to the site conditions. A Syncra Fix denotes a framework that is permanent and bolted to concrete pads. The framework will support every single Markilux product from the retractable anwings through to the Pergola and Pavilion systems, offering very large coverings for large outdoor areas. For commercial use these systems are perfect as their wind rating is far higher than most umbrellas and other fabric shade solutions.
